Luke was subjected to a barrage of short pitched and swing bowling but responded with some cheeky cuts for for and ducked and dived what he could avoid. The experience should help him develop his parents were very worried that he could have been hospitalised but they were advised that if they fear him being hurt he shouldnt play. I faced young Robinson who to me bowled great lines and could be a genuine under 19 prospect good hands in the field great medium pace bowler who bowls cutters and sticks to line and lenght and seems like a sound batsman time will tell.

Rainbow claimed their first trophy and Vigne Cup with a stunning 30 run win over Takashinga 1 at a packed Takashinga in high filed. The victory was dramatic as Takashinga 1 collapsed from a strong 90 for zero with Regis Chakabva surgically dissecting the much touted RCC swing trio of Zhawi, Tino and Mupunga. The collapse was triggered by a stunning run out after a poor call from Power Maruma forced Reggis back who like Hamilton was lazy in putting his bat in the crease as Munyede had the presence of mind to hit the stumps from 7 meters out. Enter the spinners lead by Brighton Muguochi who took six stunning wickets with the pick was when he flighted a ball that pitched on leg and and knocked the middle stump to take the wicket of a very off colour shaun handrisi batting at a shocking 8.

Earlier on Rainbows start got off to a poor start losing pinch hitter Mugochi early for 4 and power hitter Mwenda for 4 and 12 respectivfley before a sixty three run partnership between Chirimuuta and Masunda started the rebuilding process.Some inspired bowling from 18 year old Under 19 non traveling player Blessing Muzarabani who stands and 2 meters 3 made things difficult as he grab 4 wickest to rock RCC back to 133 for 8 . RCC fought back thanks to a 51 tail wagging partnership between Munyede and Zhawi with muyede contributing 33(41) and Zhawi 22(31) bolstered the score that decided the game in the end before being bowled out for 195 . In the end a hard fought victory ensures that Takashingas barren trophy run continues . A visibly upset Makoni , coach Sheppy , Johnson Marumisa and Eric Chauluka hurled a number of expletives at the players after the defeat with Chakabva and Timcyn Maruma being the target of the abuse for their errors and poor show.

@ aydee. Thanks buddy its just been 4 years since we were formed and it has been very encouraging to have a bunch of guys in Admin and Players that have contributed. Now to rebuild and prepare for the elusive and mythical ZPL.
