Yeah let’s just bin off our entire XI and send a scout to Pakistan to find a new team.
You always take it to the extreme , nothing wrong with overseas players making a new home.
I will bet huge money that you aren’t Zimbabwean. So actually you have no idea.

If you want the above then go and watch IPL or any franchise league.

It’s called the national team for a reason

You'd better kick Raza of the team then

^ Please don't fuck up the forum quotes if you are quoting me please.

It is highly insulting that you would suggest Raza is anything other than a Zimbabwean. Genuinely offensive. And shows how demonstrably clueless you are

I'm the clueless one ? Of course Raza is Zimbabwean but he was born in Pakistan is my point . Been in the country for 21 years so why is this different to Naqvi who could do the same ? You contradict yourself here.

Raza's entire family moved here whilst he was still a child. It was nothing to do with cricket, he never moved for cricket or for a passport. Most of his family are still settled here and seems pretty obvious that Raza will live the rest of his life in Zim, long after he retires. His genuine love for the country is exemplary. I consider him as Zimbabwean as me or my family.

Comparing Naqvi to that is downright demented.

I think you are demented if you think that foreigners shouldn't play for another country . England have had 108 players represent their country that isn't their place of birth. The amount of players that have left Zimbabwe over the years to play elsewhere has had a massive impact , so I am amazed that you don't embrace talent coming into the country and by doing so help become a stronger nation and better the standard of first class cricket.

I have no problem with him playing first class cricket as an overseas player (although he has bought his way in with a vast sum of money).

When they manufacture a passport for him probably within the next 6 months and he's straight into the national team, that's when I give up. That will be an utter disgrace. I don't care how good he is. He can be the next Tendulkar for all I care. He isn't Zimbabwean. It's a disgrace and I will never ever support him in a Zim shirt. Ever.

Oh well , I'll be cheering him on if he gets an opportunity. Whether it takes another 3 years or 12 months it's been a ballsy effort and I admire him for that. I think you are being harsh on the guy but I admire your fierce loyalty.

There is the case of eion Morgan who went from Ireland to England in very quick time.
Don't have an issue myself as long as he does his 3 seasons and keeps on scoring runs in relation to Antum.

If he does 3 years, full-time living here as per the ICC residency regs before he plays then I guess that is half acceptable, sort of. Idk.
But if they just give him a passport ASAP I will be furious.

Even Eoin Morgan had an English mother and attended school in England for years. At least there is some connection to England, albeit tenuous.

One concern is that we will just end up like the Netherlands if we accept players from across the world all the time, i hope this is a one off.

Even Kenya have started to turn into a team of Pakistan/India rejects, all because of the financial backing. They will soon lose the core Kenyans and have no young players coming through to replace them other than offshore players.

I will stand by my decision though that I would welcome him into the side, he will definitely fill a hole and make us more competitive. That doesn't mean I like him or how he came about, it will be an accept unless he fails kind of relationship
