Williams is on another level these days - dare I say better than peak BT too! Looks like he understands his game a lot better now.

I was thinking that, although I’m sure peak BT would have loved batting against these types of bowling lineups and batting conditions.

I was also thinking though, both Williams & Raza are now 100% in the greatest ever Zimbabwe ODI teams. I remember we picked our best ever XIs during covid and I don’t think I had either, but I do now.

The BT/Raza/WIlliams debate will be a very interesting one once they've all retired, in terms of who was the best one day player. Obviously would still say BT at the moment, but Williams quickly catching up and well, you can't argue with Raza over the past 12-18 months. Depends what they both go on to achieve between now and when they retire - some great knocks for either of them in the actual World Cup and it will be a very interesting discussion.

True, I agree.

BT did really well in the 2015 WC - those pitches were also really good for batting, but the quality of opposition was also much better.

So the NRR from this game would be valuable if Zimbabwe can beat Sri Lanka? If their NRR overtakes SL's then the Scotland game might become inconsequential in terms of overall qualification.

Ya if you don't count Wes (and you can't, really) then we played 5 bats today - way too risky Vs SL and Hasaranga. I definitely want to see Kaia in for Wes. Jongwe's exploits today will probably keep him in the team though.
