Yes. We need to play Bangladesh more often.

We should have won both games tbf.

- Taylor slowed us down and killed all the momentum built by BC and Bennett.
- Masuku's first spell was woeful, but he did ok in his comeback spell.
- Evans dropping Nissanka handed the match to the Lankans.

Positives?

- BC looked great up top. That short arm jab is a thing of beauty!
- Raza with another stellar performance
- Evans bowled well. He deserves an extended run.

I’m still thinking we start to win some games with this lineup;
1. Bennett
2. Curran
3. Welch
4. Williams
5. Ervine
6. Raza
7. Taylor (t)
8. Burl/Wellington/4th paceman/keeper as conditions suit
9. Evans
10. Richie
11. Blessing

In 2028 or so after the oldies leave, id bring in Hbalangwa, pay up for Higgins, and give Naqvi a shot.
It would help if someone like marumani starts to click.

Against these better sides as long as it's tight and we play well and professionally it's hard to complain. We're in such a low place and it's a step in the right direction.

Curran was really good. He's a lot better than I thought. He's made a case for himself for the T20's.
Bennett has work to do. His good hands have allowed him to get away with some really poor foot movement. He's in a lean spell and struggling at the moment.
Taylor- not sure what to say. He had the luxury of a few overs to get in and just couldn't find the flow. He's got two more games to show us something or he's going to be a very iffy pick for the qualifiers. Without keeping it becomes even more marginal.
Williams- he didnt get going unfortunately, bowled well, missed an important run out, captained well.
Raza- thankfully he's playing very well. Thought he'd degraded a bit, he's in his comfort zone, those were two great innings and he bowled well.
Munyonga- He's unconvincing for me. We've got quite a few better batsmen. Like half a dozen or more.
Madande- kept pretty well. That was a very flattering, but important 35 for him particularly. Probably two clean shots in that innings. Again we have better players. Significantly better. Its an absolute mystery to me. I'll go further- its a travesty. Let's just talk about Marumani. To even try and make a comparison is almost offensive, theyre not in the same ballpark. I dont care how many failures he's had he's a light year ahead of Madande.
Evans- should be in all formats. Our most accurate bowler by a distance. Not a high bar. Missed a crucial catch.
Still backing him as being able to bat well.
Masuku- did ok in the second spell. Not seeing him get too many more opportunities.
Richie- bowled ok. A much better white ball bowler for whatever reason.
Blessing- he's set a high bar for himself and has had two very mediocre performances by his standards. Just doesnt seem to have any venom atm. He could literally run in, bowl that tricky length, wicket to wicket and he would be in McGrath territory. Almost looks like he needs a rest, but we are in shit without him.

Its going to be hugely interesting and disappointing to see who they pick for these T20's.
Sri Lanka didnt actually bowl as well as they can. They will be tougher next time around.

Fantastic celebration Brad   Did he say 'THATS FUCKING RIGHT' ??
Lmao, I love it.

From apparant boozer cricket for Woodhouses to taking a wicket vs Sri Lanka in an ODI.

Evans line is unplayable. No wonder his bowling ave for Woodhouses was 14.
Just for the record, Greater Manchester Premier League is not boozers cricket sunshine

Is there any reason why Nick Welch is being overlooked for these limited over series?

I think he will have to wait for a retirement, if not his own. At some point you have to call time on a cretin controlling your destiny. Its not a mystery, selectors dont like him. I believe the coach queried it and was told to mind his own business. So much for what he wants

We're going into Qualifiers against Somalia, Liberia and Uzbekistan where the usual favorites can get some 20's and 30's at 120% and lock themselves in until they succumb of old age.

I see Muyeye and both Currans are in the same team in the 100 final.
