Gumbie certainly isn't the first Zimbo to get selected for a different format due to performances in a different format, I hope that made sense?

I remember Craig Ervine being left out of the 2013 tour of the Windies due to a horror Logan Cup season, but he was selected for the ODIs where he was easily the best batsman so he was kept for the Test series as well.

This of course is a very different situation as it's not even a national selection, it's a pseudo regional representative team playing unofficial matches v county sides, so I will save my own 'uproar' for a more concerning piece of selection.

Considering how precious little T20 cricket they play, and considering the national players for the most part are unavailable for such matches, I would be interested to see what would be the best 14-man squads available for these matches.

Yeah all the bowlers bar Blessing are back. Innocent is back too.

The only guys missing are the white batsmen. I have no idea why they get a free pass, regardless of how good their records are. It makes no sense and you can see why some people get annoyed.
I think you'll find they will play the 50 over games in preparation for the Dutch.

Glamorgan are nowhere near as sharp as Durham.
The guy batting now, David Lloyd, is highly rated in County circles.

Thats a big wicket. The thing is they all can bat, so they can afford to keep playing shots. Douthwaite who bats at the back can smoke a cricket ball.

Way too many. They are sharp at T20 bowling. It's not going to be good.
