No Houghton has the same processes. They're both excellent.
The difference coaching wise is Flower is stern disciplinarian and I would think DH leaves guys alone a bit more to make their own choices, which is of course him partly reading the room.

The key is to keep wickets here. We do that and we'll be in a good position to have things in our favour.

I agree and I like Houghtons approach to an extent, but I think that approach works more with a higher quality side. With Zim, players can tend to get away from things if left to their own devices.

For example with Ervines bowler choices, he should have intervened earlier.

More about that. This team needed some autonomy after Ratshit and some of the pointy shoe brigade shouting at them. But it's a fine line, particularly with younger guys still learning their trade.

Ervine looking in full flow now . That is why I never worry about him playing dots . He can hit boundaries consistently

Certain players. Definitely the senior guys. Some of the youngsters though needed better mentoring.

We've seen just how far Shumba has fallen when left to his own devices.

Ervine is in sublime touch. I'm not gonna say anything and jinx it but damn he's a beautiful player to watch when he's on form.
