That was unbelievable, who tries to hit it out of the ground with 4 balls to stumps
Solomon Mire does! :6:

That was something else altogether. Zimbabwe's day totally.

MVP's: Williams, Cremer, Ervine, Jarvis, Mpofu, Raza, Chakabva, Mire

Terrific team cricket.

That six by Mire is the most monstrous I have seen hit on the Zimbabwean soil since Blitzkrieg Blignaut retired.

Coventry and Chigumbura have got on the end of some huge hits, but I can't remember any as big as Mire's then. That was absolutely massive - QSC is not a small ground and that looked to land on the fences to the premises. Just crazy to do in the last over of a days play, when I saw how high it went I was convinced it just went up... and then it kept going, and going...

Whoever found the Sony stream - http://www.sonyliv.com/details/live/555 ... ober,-2017 - well done, that was television quality.

Tomorrow's going to be very interesting. This is a low first innings total, and Zimbabwe bats deep. If we don't throw wickets away (or at least in Mire's case, if he whacks a few more sixes before he does ) we have a really good chance of setting up a substantial lead.

The Zim change room will be very happy tonight - this is an unfamiliar position.

Did anybody else notice how happy the team looked throughout the day, even when it was 170-3? Was it just me or did they seem to be really enjoying their cricket?

Great day's test cricket...

When was the last time we comprehensively won a session like that?

Mire will never change.. I think he will score plenty of runs initially as teams are very attacking at the beginning of tests but I think he will always be out in the 30s or 40s.

Is this the pace Jarvis bowls at now? Still a very good player but I'm sure we were all thinking he would be in the late 130s.. He might have actually been our slowest seamer today. Very surprising

What a day of test cricket by the boys they followed all their game plans and stuck to their guns

The 8-3 lineup worked a treat so far with Raza, Mire & Willy taking 5 wickets between them
