Re: Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe | Only Test | Harare | 2021
using these 5 pacers from Mominul wicket means ban all out for 200 but using part-time spinners and getting score upto 300 mark
Re: Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe | Only Test | Harare | 2021

May we please bat well tomorrow. BT overdue a big one. Backing one of the young boys to come good. esp Myers.

Tied so far for me. If we had Williams and Ervine I would have had more faith but they are also missing Tamim. One of the youngsters will have to play a big knock. Got a feeling Kaia and Shumba are key

Went to bed at 109-5. Very relieved looking scorecard. For
Overall I would say its a tied day, maybe Bangladesh slightly ahead given ZIM have such an inexperienced batting lineup. You reckon 325 is a solid total on a sporting wicket, so if we get to that (Riyad is a proper batsmen, albeit not a great one with a career average of just 31, and Taskin can tonk a few, by faaaar our best tailender), its game on with ZIM batting last.
For Zimbabwe:
A bit sloppy with some of the dropped catches, but Ngarava just lost a ball dipping on him and he's a big guy so not the most nimble guy out there...same with Muzarabani. But also took some good catches to get Shanto and Mominul out without a fuss. The 7 no balls in the first 15 or so overs was unacceptable. But that got sorted as the day wore on so I don't think thats a huge deal.
Blessing obviously head and shoulders above the other bowlers (no pun intended haha). He's looking more and more like a world class seamer who can trouble world class batsman. Ngarava is hot and cold, not a complete package. Something to work with. Nyauchi and Tiripano are bang average IMO. Not quick enough and not accurate enough either. Mumba or Chatara if fit would be better picks. Not having a front line spinner probably hurt as well because you will always need to bowl 15-20 overs of spin per day to get your over rate under control.
For Bangladesh:
Saif Hassan is trash. He can add as many "s"s to his surname and it won't improve his game.
Shadman looking way too limited. Saw off the new ball, but really should have scored more.
Shanto is either feast or famine right now. He's got to stop edging the ball to the slips for single digit scores.
Mominul is class. An off side heavy player who scored almost all his runs on the leg side and did it looking natural. Decent innings.
Mushy was unlucky, but that was also a probably not the best decision to leave against their top bowler.
Liton saved our ass here. Unlucky to miss out on that hundred but great knock against his favorite opponent.
Riyad...still not out, needs to farm the strike and get us to 320 and beyond if possible. Every run counts.
