Larry will know well before the players and coaches do. He might be on the real selection panel.

Marumani should definitely be there, but 1000% he will have made it off the back of his 45 over exploits dismantling very ordinary bowling in the NPL.
What they should have been doing is getting him to work with a good coach (unfortunately there isn't one) and thrower for many months so he'd be better prepped to suddenly have to try and do the same, but at a higher strike rate and against bowling that is about 3 levels up from what he's been dealing with to date.
He can destroy ordinary bowling, about the best hitter I've seen, but its a completely different game against this calibre of bowlers. He's probably had about 3 days notice if he has had the nod.
Here's where he has gone wrong in the past-
Doesn't trust his game down the ground against good bowling, it's a mental glitch because he's got a 360 game, gets tight, resorts to showing his stumps and picking it up behind square and does it brilliantly at the lower level and poorly at the higher level. You bowl him some back of a length heavy balls and keep him quiet and he will show you his stumps and play his 50/50 get out of jail shot.
Not sure where he will bat.
If he comes on against a spinner he'll premeditate and reverse almost immediately. It's a mental release shot.
Against pace if he gets a hip high ball on off or just outside he produces an ugly half cut, half punch that also gets him into trouble.
Ive watched him so many times and just shaken my head at this guy's ability and why someone hasnt fixed him so we can watch a master at work. He could of course have watched all his own innings and in the absence of outside assistance, tried to fix it himself. Self-awareness is key
I wish him all the very best, he could be an outstanding international batsman.

Anyone clearing to leg at the death against the wide yorkers ain't going to even get bat on ball. That's going to be annoying to watch.

Where did he say Marumani was selected for the T20 side?
From what I understand from his tweet, it is good to recall him to the T20 side.
And how many T20 wicketkeepers does Zimbabwe have right now?
Madande struggled too much in the Tri-series. Gumbie and Tsiga - no words.

The realistic option is Marumani, even though he has struggled in international cricket.

There's nothing wrong with Tsiga. Gumbie was good for us for a while in ODI's, couldn't change gear though. Tsiga is a good player and plenty to work with. Hes shown he can play at this level. T20 is not his strong suit, but first and foremost you've got to be solid and he is. Got a good pull shot as well.

Maru should be the man.

Decent squad for once. Welch the only glaring omission.

1. Bennett
2. Myers
3. Taylor
4. Williams
5. Raza
6. Burl
7. Marumani
8. Munyonga
9. Evans
10. Ngarava
11. Blessing

This plays 8 batsmen whilst getting 4 from Blessing, Brad & Rich. Raza, Burl and Williams for the spin. It’s really a no brainer in my mind why you’d include someone like Gwandu as a 4th seamer who can’t hold a bat and will go for more than the part time spinners will, too.

They’ll play Madande, Musekiwa and probably Gwandu though. Morons

Surprised with Taylor in but happy to see Williams in there.
Very bowler heavy squad. I am guessing they will rotate
