At last, some fight shown. Well done to Cremer, Williams, and Ervine.

Williams had been fading away into irrelevance. Good to see him hit a century, that too while not being fully fit! Fantastic effort, equivalent to a double ton in my book, and that too against one of the better attacks in Test cricket!

Williams needs to bat with responsibility and bat in the top 4-5 spots. He needs to know that big scores of 150+ is what he will be expected to provide. Raza needs to bat with responsibility as well. Mawoyo can grind up big scores and/or consume a lot of deliveries. Same with Chakabva when in form. Chari sucks and should be dropped for Vusi, who will at least score 20-30 and with occaisional 50+ knocks. Have no expectations from Hamilton and Chibabha, so perhaps a Burl or Moor would be better. Give Prince an extended run, although I am not sure if he's fit enough to consistently score big.

Bowlers need work. Bring in Mumba and Wellington/Chisoro. But of course they go for Mpofu.

And Zimbabwe are officially the team that gets the worst calls...5-6 freebie wickets in the last match it seemed. Jeez.

was this site hijacked by an online casino yesterday?
i kept getting diverted.

I didnt think New Zealand bowled all that well,, its bad that only Williams showed them up for what they were. no swing or real pace.

Yeah from what I saw, the bowling was not threating by and large. But that might have had to do with how flat the track was and how batting friendly overhead conditions were.

I didn't get to see us bowl but I'm surprised to hear Mike 'the Rhino' Chinouya was bowling under 120kph !!! I remember him being quicker in his ODI matches against India a few years back .....

Honestly this idea of preparing flat pitches and playing 8 batsman is really negative is never going to work, I think we would be better off preparing pitches with a bit in it for the bowlers and seeing how we go. The longer the match goes the harder it is for us to win and the shorter it is the better chance we have. We're more likely to win a t20 match than a test so let's try and shorten up the test .....

Prepare a sporting pitch and go with this side

There were about 600 or so at the game we were in the front row at the ground.
That's brilliant. :)
What?
i was in Bulawayo. Why didnt you hir me up? I would have dropped everything to come hang out.

Dont worry about those street kids. they are ok, they love that life they lead, they like the happy poor african sympathy role big smiles role they play.

i could have shown you some nice little restaurants in the outer suburbs. Bulawayo was always my getaway holiday destination to unwind, relax, have a few cocktails etc.

Didn't make it to Bulawayo this time around. The street kids are mixed in their views I have found.
