The biggest loss would be Williams for sure. He brings stability to the middle order and can bowl handy off spin. If Burl,PJ, Ervine and Williams all get into the side we would still look a very strong side.

If Ervine, Williams, Burl,Moor and Cremer all our white boys( except Waller) leave Zim Cricket in next few years(very likely to happen). We will bring back Vusi, Maruma,Muzarbani, Chari and Mutombzodi to the national side. We would have a lineup like Chibabha>Regis>Hami>Chari>Vusi>Waller>Chigs>Jongwe>Chisoro>Chatara>Muzarbani and Maruma,Mutombzodi, Mushwange,Panny as extras..
Like Kriterian said we will lose against PNG and Nepal, maybe in 5 years against Canada and Uganda. In 10 years we will be finished

Sounds awful but, the sooner these looters are ousted the better, and maybe the only way to do that is liquidate ourselves. We're going backwards each yearzimbofan88 wrote:If Ervine, Williams, Burl,Moor and Cremer all our white boys( except Waller) leave Zim Cricket in next few years(very likely to happen). if any player were to get a contract it would be craig Ervine for his heroic 100 against NZ thats what would have put him above the radar. Noone else has really done anything worthy, and there is no rare gem of a talent that they would get a deal without even shining at domestic level. And the honest reality is that it is not one of the black guys.reverbinstinct wrote:Phew!..check the latest reply to cricketzimbo's tweet regardin this..a very reliable source has finally put an end to this speculation ..Sw is here to stay

What about Craig and Cremer? Lets just hope the rumors tend to be false. As Doggy has said a lineup with Burl, Moor, Willy, Ervine, Chakabva will still be formidable plus Raza and Hammy. Or they should be formidable. Add Chatara, Musoko, Mumba, Cremer, Wellington...you've got a team that should be able to fight for large segments of a Test match.reverbinstinct wrote:Phew!..check the latest reply to cricketzimbo's tweet regardin this..a very reliable source has finally put an end to this speculation ..Sw is here to stay

Yeah I think Craig is the most likely candidate, but even then is a single knock enough to get a county deal?bayhaus wrote:if any player were to get a contract it would be craig Ervine for his heroic 100 against NZ thats what would have put him above the radar. Re: Rumour of another defection
Rumours are always false going by their definition.look i dont think cremer would rush his international departure having come back just 8 months ago..same applies to craig ervine who came back a little earlier.cremer has to do a little more to catch the eyes of the county managers.I felt it only had to be williams, given that he has stuck around for soo long much like bt..and his wc performance surely would have helped that cause.Kriterion_BD wrote:What about Craig and Cremer? lets not worry about this anymore, although the pessimist in me is not ruling out a certain sikandar raza.he also had a decent 2015 for zim stds.who knows maybe he feels the need to get back in the uk environment,(where he first played cric), to support his family and blah blah.

Re: Rumour of another defection
Why does it always 'have to be' one of the whites ?
Yeah I know there's serious precedent here, however when I brought this up last time, I was told by people here it's not linked to passport, so why couldn't it be one of the <snip>?
There's no reason why someone like Hamilton could be good enough for the county scene! It's almost racist to assume they are never in contention for an offer.
Still, if true, my money is on Craig ervine on a deal to join his brother at whatever county Sean is at. Sean's no doubt been in the coaches ear with 'he averages 40 in internationals' etc
