On paper it is a strong side. Probably the strongest post 2004 side we have ever had. Decent spinner. 2 genuinely quick bowlers. Experienced batsmen. Power hitters.. no passenger for a wicket keeper. The bowling department has it all really. Fast left arm bowler. Tall fast bowler. 2 slower but talented bowlers and a few part timers. Batting has a solid core of experienced guys. 3 who have played over 100 games. We are the home side. On paper it looks really good but the reality is different. It's a mental game from here for me. It's all about perseverance and desire. Who wants it the most.

Definitely. On paper this side is awesome. Imagine this squad a year ago...people would have been drooling. It’s more we’ll balanced than prolly a 1990s Zim side even.

Zhuwao should be useful in getting a good NRR against the minnows. NRR is going to come into this tournament in a big way.

Zhuwayo should open in all the matches. Let him have a bit of a run in the side see if he is truly good enough.

Geez some of you blokes love a conspiracy 😂😂😂😂

Executive push overrides Streak & Taibu to select Zhuwao 😂😂😂😂 anyone have any proof of this ??

Any chance maybe Streak & Taibu just selected him because he’s in form ?? The forum has certainly turned on taibu & streak blaming them for not selecting Zhuwao at first now not giving them credit for selecting him now

Will be interesting to see if they open with Hami & Zhuwao with Mire down the order or with Hami & Mire with Zhuwao down the order ?

They’d be tempted to open with Mire & Zhuwao and have Hami @3 but considering the batting collapses of late they might not want to risk being down 2 for not many early

Might also revert to the 8-3 at Bulawayo if Williams is fit

Hopefully Zhuwao does some damage he might be a ‘surprise package’ as not many of the sides ( if any ) have faced him before

Zhuwao will be forced to open because he is black, Mire will be demoted down the order because he is black.

Still Batsman have given 41 wickets in 9 matches to the spinners, in the recent Sub Continent tour. Three Spin Heavy Asian Teams in that spin friendly Bulawayo track will ask question and might give some tough time for Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Squad would have prove a strongest unit if they played all their game in HSC
