He was once touted as the next Virat Kohli .But he floundered in IPL , he was completely out of depth against world class pacers like Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson. He still plays Ranji trophy ,he moved from Delhi team to Uttarakhand because he was not getting selected in the Delhi team.

Yeah he was over-hyped because he did well in the U19 world cup and had couple of good knocks for Delhi. But it became clear that he had serious technical flaws. He hasn't managed to adapt quickly enough. That is where Pruthvi Shaw and Shubman Gill seem to be better equipped, being quick learners. But we'll see...
