Playing devil's advocate, Jongwe has a better T20 bowling average and bowling SR than Blessing, Ngarava, Chatara and Evans.
Hmm in 44 matches from 2015 he only bowled out 12 times, 5 times was against Ireland, 2 against Scotland, 1 against Namibia and another against PNG. Further proving my points he is not a bowler to rely on just a guy to cover an over or 2 when all fails and at this level you won’t compete

Can Jongwe, only in T20s, be utilized as a No.3 with a license to smash it from ball one? I think it is something that can be tried out. A bit of a Travis Friend kind of a role, in T20s.
Lol if you think Marumani is too eratic and doesn’t think, Jongwe will shock you, either way it doesn’t work that way or Parnell will be the opener for SA and he is a sounder batsman than Jongwe

I actually share the same thoughts, Ngarava has got power and can slog anything in his path for 6. Why not throw him
in the deep and let him have a swing at everything! Did he not make like 30odd in the test match some time this year? He is defo entertaining!
The higher you go the cooler it becomes.

Jongwe is a bits & pieces player perfect for t20

Sure his bowling & batting could be better, but you can say that if most of our players.

Realistically we need to bat done to 9 with Ngarava & Blessing at the tail, the way Dave wants them to play we need guys who can bat & bowl at 8 & 9 so Evans & Jongwe imo are those guys.

True the Dave approach is high risk high reward but it definitely needs us to bat up to at least number 9.

As for Ngarava I see some potential  that six he hit was a monster hit. This is where the logan cup comes in. They need to talk him and try get him to bat more overs in the logan cup. He needs a little bit of that Chatara "I won't let you get me out easily" in him. All of them besides Blessing have actually improved with the bat. Even Nyauchi and Chivanga looked like they had improved a bit. The fast bowlers association clearly held a crisis meeting about all those top order failures.
