Well when Meth-mania began, he suddenly started getting selected. The wave of Moor-mentum I plan on unleashing will be too much for ZC to resist.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes
Look, all these guys - Moor, Jongwe, Lake, Mushangwe, Kazuza, Raza etc. - make a decent 'A' side. If given support, they could improve themselves, gain experience and prove themselves, then be promoted to the Test side. No problem with that whatsoever, there seems to a one or two spots available.

I would stick with the team we have (with Tino partnering Vusi at the top)... the only real question mark for me is Meth (horses for courses is fine but we also need to develop guys who will take it further); I can see no room in his action to increase his speed [though I have seldom seen anyone control swing like he does] and we will have to learn to bat down to 9 not 10.
Rainsford is out of the mix completely it seems so Chatara or Bobby. Personally it's bobby for me but that's mostly an emotional decision.
I do like the look of some of those names right there Boundary ... how many do you think we'll lose?
Meth, in my opinion, is a dark horse with the ball. Okay, the pace simply isn't there (he's probably bowling about 70-73Mph max), but like you said hos control of swing and the amount he gets is amazing. He probably could increase his pace, as Streak has pointed out in the past, but he's worried he'll lose that swing.
Maybe against the likes of Sri Lanka he may struggle, maybe he won't, but he gives us another bowling option with potency
Meth might be a handful with the new ball with the keeper standing up to the wicket. But what happens if the ball gets old? I believe he will then be as toothless as Praveen Kumar and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar of India.

As if those 2 bowlers wouldn't walk into the Zim side... Take a peak at Praveen's test record...
I think those 2 would average about 12 with the ball in the Logan Cup...

I have been very impressed with Bhuvi actually...but that's T20!!
sloandog; I think adding speed to that action will almost certainly reduce swing. I am not sure we should give him up yet - especially as Bobby seems a broken machine -but after Chatara did ok in WI one has to suppose that if Meth slips up ... (while I agree with giving 'love' to leggies and batsmen - as a sweeping generalisation, I think quick bowlers need less of it)

Add Vinay Kumar to the list. Outstanding record in Ranji Trophy, largely due to excellent control over swing in the longer format. But India tries to use him in ODIs and T20s, while his best would definitely come out in seaming conditions in the longest form of the game. Very much a Meth like case.
