Bowlers need to pitch the ball up and encourage the drive. It will mean getting driven down the ground or through the covers if its overpitched, but that's part of it. Want the batsmen playing on the front foot and taking any advantage of any swing or movement off the pitch. Bowling short of a length will simply result in getting pulled and cut all day.

Looking forward to this, got a great view in smith cooper stand. It’s going be a great day of cricket regardless of the result.

Managed to bag the ODi, t20 and test shirts from the club shop so I’m really happy!!

Enjoy the day guys, big moment!

I don't mind the reasoning of chivanga, as thats a strategic choice they've gone for the conditions to have 4 seamers. Whether he will go well is yet to see. But I'm more interested about the Wes selection as they are saying he is a better batter than welch for these conditions when welch has played a lot of cricket in these English conditions. So welch is effectively the reserve batter for the tour/game as they would have known the side on departure from Zim you imagine.

Welch also did decent in Bangladesh where he wouldn't of played before and is probably better against pace than spin being an opener/top order bat.
