Absolutely incredible innings from Kamunhukamwe (TK) today, really one of the best I've seen. Take a bow. So deserved a double.

Pitch looked tricky on day 1 as well.

He's a funny one. Can look so dominant when he's set, but at other times gets blown away as his defensive technique isn't the best. I think the move to the middle order in red ball cricket could be the making of him.

Ive seen him play some incredible shots over the years.
He's had some opportunities. The last time he was sidelined it was off the back of some really rash shots.
He's an incredibly strong guy and can absolutely bomb them.

Its the same story- when the bowling is real quality he can get bogged down then throws his hands at it. He's not dissimilar to Maru in this regard. He's not one of the Chosen Ones. Ive just looked at his T20i batting list on stats guru and its not bad.
I don't know why I havent brought him up before as a potential middle/lower order finisher. He's a much better prospect than Tony or Musi. If you think Musekiwa hits the ball hard, you should see TK, and he can be inventive, he's got good hands. You dont want to be fielding in the ring when he gets hold of one.

I dont think he gave a chance yesterday, that was a top innings. The Mountaineers bowling is in dissaray however.
The Pakistani leftie is not good. Actually that average that if they keep picking him it would be a grave mistake. The other quicker guy didn't bowl well either. Masekesa just can't land a ball, he's gone to pieces. Chatara and Nyauchi kept bowling short. I dont know how guys of their experience can misread a pitch like that? If that was a ploy, it was just dumb.

Theyve got two good keeper batsmen in Gumbie and Welch yet Magodo is keeping? It's just bizarre. He must be related.
He's not close to either of them in ability and never will be with gloves or bat so why is he in the side? Surely play another bowler, preferably a spinner. Their batting is basically Welchx2, Frost and Maruma. Gumbie hasnt scored runs in a long time, I think he was dropped twice in his 25 just playing at balls he should have left. That pitch was difficult and he was just having a harry. Weird. Unless these 4 fire theyre doomed this season, from two titles to nothing.
Frost carried his bat in a dismal team performance, but was quite happy with 10 and 11 taking strike? Batting with their captain as well
You'd think these 2 geniuses would have worked out Frost needed to face as many deliveries as possible?? Almost did his best to stay off strike  . That was poor in my view.

The Pakistani seamer for Eagles looks to be the pick of the imports. Really nice looking seamer. Theyve loaded that side, it's strong, as is Rhinos.
ZC manipulating how they want things to go as usual.
When Knackers fails with the bat he delivers with the ball. He's a good cricketer.

Tuskers are in need of some quality.

I see Jongwe is in their squad and been playing club cricket in Bulawayo. Surely worth a try.

I agree with you Googly. Klong might not be a bad middle order t20 player.

K Long played in the UK in probably the weakest premier comp down in Devon this summer. Averaged about 17, really struggled. Got an 80 in his first innings then nothing after that.

I saw that from Frost. It was odd. Very much looked like his main concern was the red ink for the batting average. And then followed it up with an 18 ball duck in the 2nd innings.

Ya that was poor for sure. He's become a good player.
Playing essentially for a red inker shows that the Mountaineers camp is not a happy one. But as I said earlier- if you're batting with the captain himself and he's happy with it, there's not much to say.
That ball that got him today was an absolute peach- just nipped in and clipped the top of off. That would have got most guys. This Afridi guy looks really handy.
Why would Chatara not have tried bowling Frost when the entire bowling unit was bowling poorly and they needed even to buy a wicket somehow.
Back to Magodo- they need to pick Mike Frost, he's a reslly decent bowler and theyre looking thin in this dept, both depts actually.
Overlord threw away a big score there. Was really in and seeing it beautifully. Defensively he's solid and that's key. There's tennis ball bounce out there most times and you have to pick and choose very carefully.
He may have been put down earlier as well, similar excessive slow bounce. He's actually not dissimilar to Bennett. His scoring area is behind point and he's very strong there and plays a lot of shots that others would leave.
There was a short period last year where he was a bit lower in his set up and I think he looked more organized doing that.
It sets you up to leave better. When you're standing tall (not easy for Joylord), its a lot more tempting to go for stuff you shouldn't.

This Mountaineers has been a false flag for the white guys-
Mangongo picked Schadendorf, Moor, Welch (on the condition he captained), Welch Jr (on the condition he shared the keeping with Overlord), Frost x2.
They should have seen the writing on the wall when Mangongo was fired, and bombshelled.
They ended Moor's and Schadendorf's careers, Frost Jr has barely had a sniff in 2 years, Welch can't keep, the other Welch can't captain.
It's obvious that Mangongo rocked the boat badly and those Mutare boys went into lager at the Harare invasion. I always thought Matabeleland liked to keep to themselves, but it's clear that Manicaland is the same.
I'll say it again- there's room for another Harare team.
The very tribal/racial thing that has put us where we are at is alive and well and encouraged
Welch Jr and Frost Jr can't afford to waste another season there. If Welch Snr wants to captain he's also wasting his time, but I've just had a look at the franchise captains and theyre mostly good 'ol boys.

That spinner is damned accurate. Has bowled two loose balls only, and this Afridi guy is really good as well. Two top players for Eagles.
