Meanwhile, The Rocks further boosted their squad by signing three more players.
The talented duo of Stephen Marillier and the Ervine brothers — Craig and Matthew — arrived from England yesterday morning and trained with their new teammates.

MASHONALAND EAGLES yesterday finally remembered how to win when they obliterated Southern Rocks by 234 runs in their third Logan Cup match of the new Franchise era at Zimbabwe Cricket Academy.
After two consecutive draws in the competition, with Mountaineers and Midwest Rhinos, the Eagles leggy Raymond Price put up a powerful performance with the ball to lead his team to victory and claimed his first five-wicket haul of the competition in the process.
Prior to the match Price, despite his excellent contribution with both bat and ball, had been the only leg spinner in the country not to have a “fiver” to his name.
Southerns won the toss on the opening day of the contest and elected to field, which proved to be a bad decision as the hosts raced to a commendable 357 first innings total.
Skipper Elton Chigumbura and Admire Manyumwa were the mainstays of the innings, finishing with 61 runs each, aided by an undefeated 58 from Trevor Garwe, whose progress with both bat and ball is quite remarkable.
In turn Southern Rocks could only manage 159, with again Chigumbura coming to the fray with the ball this time, taking three wickets for 38, while Greg Lamb took three for 35.
With a lead of 198 runs, Eagles chose not to enforce the follow-on and made 260 in their second innings, giving the visitors a mountainous task of chasing 459 for victory.
This time Foster Mutizwa and Lamb top scored with 78 and 41 runs respectively, while Southern Rocks’ new acquisition Steve Tikolo and Tafadzwa Kamungozi weighed in with three wickets apiece.
In the end the chase ended in vain as the visitors could only muster 224 largely due to Price’s five for 57.
He was aided by Chigumbura’s two for 43 and Douglas Hondo’s two for 24.
Steven Marillier, Tikolo and Gavin Ervine were the only meaningful contributors for Southern Rocks with 44, 57and 65 runs respectively.

This leggie called Ray Price seems to be a good prospect i reckon he should be in the national side along with the returning Gavin ErvineSteven Marillier, Tikolo and Gavin Ervine were the only meaningful contributors for Southern Rocks with 44, 57and 65 runs respectively.
