Speaking on a hidden FC player the other evening (it's not fair to say his name), the going rate per match is 50 dollars for the young lads. I wonder why they even bother, could easily get a solid summer deal over here in the UK, I know, I'm tapping up a Zimbo for my club this summer..

PJ Moor must be in the tour squad to Bangladesh.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Is that 50 Zimbo dollars or US dollars ??
How far will $50 get you in Zimbabwe??
In Australia $50 wouldn't get you through the day but I know in other parts of the world $50 can feed a family for the week .......

$50 is absolute nuts to anyone mate. That's hopeless. I don't know how the board look at themselves in the mirror.

Fair enough I didn't know, I don't understand how these guys can afford to play if this is all they're getting paid ......

Yes, can't ignore this now. Finally, probably for the first time in his career, he has hit a decent form.jaybro wrote:PJ Moor has scored 57, 41, 101, 0, 62 and now 93* in the unofficial tests this summer I think #moormania finally has some legitimate legs now ......
Well done to Chari too. Overcoming his horror show of recent times...

I know for a fact that when the players are paid so low or not paid for months even the experienced campaigners struggle to survive. Living off their family and only play because they love the game too much to do anything else.sloandog wrote:Speaking on a hidden FC player the other evening (it's not fair to say his name), the going rate per match is 50 dollars for the young lads. Likewise, my club are tapping up a Zimbo for next season, hoping for the 3rd successive Zimbo. Good Value for money.

Doesn't look like the boys are pushing for a declaration, with both century makers gone Vusi and Burl are just defending here .....
Btw Congrats to Moor on his 2nd successive first class ton ......
