Many of those players had decent domestic practice and play in the format, as well as proper coaching and training structures.
The question is now that Wes is not in the playing XI...is he getting access to this proper coaching and training structure as we speak?
That's the thing that probably influenced PJ,he will be getting games in Ireland instead of potentially sitting on bench. I guess Wes will be playing a lot of one day matches with our upcoming schedule.

But Zimbo, those 3 ducks are not a measure of not being able to live up to the rigours of test cricket as we all know them. He had a bad series, and what he showed in that t20 against a similar world class attack and also away in Pak is enough for me for now to conclude that he can bat. All he needs is to get in by playing a few more balls in the test match and he looks like someone who without scoreboard pressure can score big runs.
I never said those 3 ducks are a measure of his quality.

Short format cricket is different to Long format. Simple. No one is doubting his quality, but being able to switch from one to the other is not merely a case of changing clothes. There's a whole different mentality to the game. That is why some players who are guns in short format cricket never play long format.

What Wes needs is not to be shoved in to every single game expecting him to be the miracle man of Zim cricket. He still has plenty to learn and a lot to work on to improve his game. He has barely played any long form cricket and you all want to throw him in front of Shaeen Shah and co. It's not exactly sound player management. He can afford to not play the tests and work on his game on the side. Kaia and Shumba showed grit to be in the middle for now. so this idea that Wes must play every single form of cricket and be the man to rescue us in all of it is just absurd.

A smart board and coaching staff would ensure it. If not, then ZC are just shooting themselves in the foot and will probably blame someone else for it.

This says it all!
And it’s frankly, Low hanging fruit in terms of rectifying it.

Edge of Tiripano falls just in front of Chakabva. He should keep much closer to the stumps for Tiripano

Darlington was poor yesterday when I was listening. Was talking about the domestic season but sounded like he has no idea. Said Rocks won the Pro50 the day before....wrong!!! A few other inaccuracies about too.

He also said casually ‘Kyle Jarvis is injured this week’. No mention that he hasn’t played for two years and nearly died in hospital two months ago lol.

I often see people here critizing rajput for those who don't know rajput is a Mumbai stalwart. Has played 110 first class matches for Mumbai at an average near 50 ..it is often said getting into the Mumbai team is tougher than getting into Indian team. He coached Mumbai Indians in the inaugural season . Lot of young kids in Mumbai and from u19 have trained under rajput ..he was the manager of the winning Indian team in 2007 wc T20 (they didn't have any coach then) so he was unofficially coaching them ..problem is Zimbabwe have very few resources ..and he is working best ..under him zim won an odi and t20 against pak ..a full strength zim team will definitely give tough fight to the likes of ban wi Sri
