Headless chicken stuff from Shumba...
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

If you're going for that shot play it straight for goodness sake rather than that wild swipe.

We play a couple more tests this year I believe

Hopefully we won’t see such a depleted side again

I just looked at the over test runs chart for Zimbabwe, can’t believe Williams has only played 14 Tests in his career.

Since making his debut in 2013 he’s played 14 of the next 29 Tests
Shocking how many he has missed through various issues.

And keep in mind he missed games 2011-13 before making his debut too.
Make that 14 off the 34 Tests since Zimbabwe re-entered the Test area

I have tremendous respect for what Kaia has done over the last year or so. Hope he continues to grow in his role.

Disappointing for Shumba, I kinda felt he’d spent the right amount of balls at the crease and it could have been a breakthrough knock for him.

I think Shumba needs the Wes treatment now, go back to the Tuskers and score a heap of runs before getting selected again.

Did the selectors do the right thing in picking Shumba instead of Maruma who did well in the warm-up game? I guess we’ll never know and I guess it’s just as likely that Maruma would have struggled too.

For our next tests against Afghanistan and Ireland I would like kudzai maunze to be given a run as an opener with Kaia
SZ will cook me for this, but I still think Kasuza is the best option to open with Kaia, but he needs to find some form and runs. Not sure he’ll get the chance before the next Test though.

If 14 is where it ends (hope not) that explains why he chose that jersey number 🤯🤯

Yeah, he keeps surprising me. He looks like he can mix it at international level.
