Pro50 Championship 2023-24
Re: Pro50 Championship 2023-24
Compton would have been knocking on the door of a Lions red ball call up at some point. He's a good player, sticks to the absolute basics and accumulates.

Absolutely not the Bazball way though. As long as England pursue that then he won’t even be in on the Lions radar

Not sure if this is correct but it looks like Simon Mugava is playing for Rhinos. It’s his first match for over 10 years…

Cunningham Ncube keeping wicket for Eagles.
Into his 15th season as a professional and still averaging 12 with the bat.
Apparently the best option in all of Mashonaland?

Nick not Martthew is playing. Harsh if Matthew was dropped.

No problem with Nick. Klong and Wes walking back into the team. But Matt, Mupfudza and Masunda have all batted well.
Of course the guy to drop is Chamu but hell will freeze over before he ever misses a game.

He's their leading run scorer.
They have to find room for Kamunhukamwe, Madhevere, Welch Sr and Akram, but surely find a spot for him down the order? He spoils his chances by being unable to keep.
Or get one of the overseas guys to sit out, why do they get preferential treatment ahead of one of our own who may just have what it takes and needs game time?
We can watch the same old guys ad nauseum that are journeymen or give a guy opportunity that has real ability.

I'm happy that Madande moved up the order. I feel like they have been wasting his abilities batting at number 7. Not sure if he will succeed opening. I think he will succeed batting at 4 or 5
