Bennett looks batting easy. That back foot punch for 3 was a serious shot. The English commentators aren't giving enough praise here. There's an air of arrogance about the way Ward and Athers are talking. Hussain is a favourite of mine but some of his comments have been pretty average.

Is that Johnathan Campbell sat with Tom Curran today?

Love that Sam is playing for Surrey today. Saw him have at least 4-5 beers yesterday afternoon
and a decent first spell with a wicket against Essex!

English commentators have long been pretty patronizing

You don’t need 11 world class players in Zimbabwe. One or two would suffice. Muzarabani is one and Bennett could be the second one. So there is no need to go after decent players like Curran as 9/10 times they will do the job against mid tier opposition. Just look at Afghanistan, they have only 2-3 world class players while all the others are bang on average but they compete well against big teams and completely obliterate smaller and Associate teams. This is what Zimbabwe needs to do as well rather than searching for 11 WC players just find one or two and let others play. I believe Antum will do great for Zimbabwe and even his brother. It would be good if Sikandar can get a few of his friends or family from Pakistan to Zimbabwe and let them play cricket and they might be half decent

For those in the know, is Navqi a realistic selection soon? If he's playing for Zimbabwe A he must surely have been told he's eligible soon.

The batsmen have done better than I thought they would of. Potts is bowler I'm most concerned about. I didn't realize he hadn't even been picked lol

Tongue is the one that worries me. Express pace. Although he's been injured for two years so might not be as quick as he once was.
