Well, not that close. But they are of the same age (Waddington and Mr X, that is), went to the same school, enjoyed some success at age-group level for Zim together...

Yes, that's the man. He opened the bowling for Zim U-19s along with Waddington in the 2001/02 WC in NZ. What a team that was with Taibu, Hami, Taylor, Choppa, Sean Ervine, Matsi, Elton. According to his LinkedIn profile Alfred graduated from the University of the Western Cape a few years ago and has recently moved to the US to take up a job in Baltimore.
