It's a good idea. If you're good enough you can open. Good challenge for him. Toughest gig in sport is being an opening batsman, odds are against you and you have to have your shit together.
Madhevere should have a crack at it as well.

This might be the first time in years that we actually have a little competition for domestic spots. When everybody is there it won't be easy for the new kids to play every game. This will motivate them to go big when they do get a chance.

Unfortunately senority is a big thing for team sports . You really have to earn it but it's a good thing. We need to learn with what we did with Shumba and Wes. You might even find that Madande looks a little better than them with the bat now because he had to earn it.

PJ in the runs, must be easier than playing in the bogtrotter league.

Williams struggling to get runs in Pro50 is a sight I never thought I'd ever see

He's a good player. Somehow his career stalled.

Shumba and Madhevere got shunted straight into the A side and national side. I don't think Matt W should be sitting out of franchise games, there's a difference. They should have found a team for him with less national players perhaps?
There's time, it's not that urgent.

Stalled because he’s lacking in melanin. Must be reasonably liked if he’s got this gig though.

I think he struggles to motivate himself and take domestic serious. Beneath him. In his mind.
