What was funny was that the first fielder who got to Marumani fancied himself as a doctor and was keen to pull his fingers back into position. Maru was not too keen on that

The pitch is far from a road as someone suggested.
I said a Zim road yo. Potholed from HSC all the way to Queens and not maintained since Ian Smith was head coach.

I also haven't noticed whether all 3 games are played on the same strip each day?
Also haven't noticed if the pitch behaves that differently at night. If it is it might be a function of it being the 50th and 60th over of the day. The vodka takes its toll.

It might just be me, but as much as it is nice having lights, it just doesn't have the same feeling.

It might have something to do with it being a bit of a mickey mouse comp, or the fact that the lights don't actually light up the whole field and the crowd, but the afternoon game hits better.

The interesting one is late afternoon. I'd like to ask the players if the lights over ride the natural light.
There are a couple of groups of Indian/Pakistani guys knocking around, perpetually on their phones at game time.
They must surely be betting or running betting pools.

This is where the money is. It needs to be completely legitimised and a percentage should go to the controlling board.

Whenever Asians are involved it is dodgy until proven otherwise

The main men will be giving it large in Mumbai and these fellows are the eyes on the ground making sure so and so oversteps on the right ball of any given over.

Regis rolling back the years. What a thriller! No way 126 was chase-able.
