Just an appreciation for Regis. It wasn't easy what he was asked to do - to keep for so long and bat right away - but he did his part well for the day.

Yeah Regis isn't the problem in this team. Sure it would be nice if there was someone better but as others have said he has a spot as a batsmen alone in this current team.

Also musakandas lbw decision was really bad. The umpire got pressured to give it out.

Yeah I’m pleased Regis did well today. Hope he keeps it going tomorrow morning! Glad ive defended him so much in recent times.

We are missing basically our entire top order, and our captain. It’s a very disappointing performance and I - like everyone - is annoyed by it but people over reacting here is crazy.

A full strength Zim team beats Bangladesh at home. I hope we see that full strength team next month.

after 16 years of this from zim im really tired now. cricket is dead in zim and we are all at this point following a cult
We just won a Test in the UAE. We were in winning positions in all three T20s against Pakistan and should have won the series - we deserved to.

We are missing all of; Masvaure, Kaia, Wes, Ervine, Williams, Raza, Burl here through injury. 7 batsman.

We have the best crop of youngsters we've had for a decade or so coming through.

We really shouldn't over react. This is basically Zimbabwe A Vs Pakistan 1st XI.
This doesn’t explain the bowling performance though which is close to full strength.
Ps. I hate going against you all the time, you are going to think I hate you, I’m actually fond of you.

I remember the side the last time we beat Pakistan and it had 3 out and out pace bowlers.
Payangara chatata and vitori.
Tiripano is the weak link in the side.
Please pick chivanga or nyauchi next tests against Bangladesh.
The trade off seems to be that tiripano can get an obdurate 15 or 20 runs but this is immaterial in grand scheme of things, we need to be bowling sides out. If they are concerned about length of tail then play Burl at 8 as the spinner alongside the 3 fast bowlers next lot of tests

Haha no worries mate! I enjoy the debate and you raise really good points!

Bowling was poor I agree. I wouldn’t have Tiripano within a million miles of the team but he basically seems to get picked for being a nice guy.

Jongwe has swagger and confidence and is an X factor sort of bowler that will pop up and be a game changer in limited overs. But I really doubt him in Tests and he proved that yesterday and today. Poor. Wouldn’t have him in the team.

I don’t think Ngarava looks fit. Hard to tell on TV but he looked much slower this week compared to last week and he spent quite a bit of time off the field today too.

Chisoro isn’t good enough but that goes for all our specialist spinners really.

Wes, Willo, Raza, Burl, Blessing, Ngarava & Chivanga in the same team would be a good bowling lineup I think.

Chakabva seems to have done OK, he lasted. I hope he can go on and play a strong knock tomorrow. The game is not salvageable imo but we're missing Ervine, Williams, Raza, Burl, Kaia and Masvaure who all would have played today so it's not doomsday yet. Is Kaia's injury gonna rule him out of the whole Test?

This is probably worthy of its own thread, but tere is something seriously wrong with ouyr conditioning.

Having 7 injuries (or whatever it is) out of a 3 game T20s series where nothing major happened is shocking.

Kaia is a freak injury.

Raza same.

Williams and Burl are finger and hand issues which are not really conditioning problems.

Ervine and Prince are soft tissue.

And Chamu's was just window dressing wasn't it?
