I agree with the sentiment, and it would be hilarious to see the ICC's reaction if Zim and Sco progressed for example

But surely we have to be realistic, SL are going to qualify. So shouldn't we be hoping they take points off our likely rivals for the second spot?

True, we should probably want Sri Lanka to win. I would still have them as slight favourites with Hasaranga bowling on what seems to be a fairly spin friendly wicket.brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 10:41 amI agree with the sentiment, and it would be hilarious to see the ICC's reaction if Zim and Sco progressed for example![]()

This is the correct choice... Root for Sri Lanka because if we take the realistic scenario that we only win 1 game against Oman and lose the other 2, Zim would be more likely to qualify. However if Scotland wins this, then it would be more likely that Sri Lanka and Scotland go through to the WC.brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 10:41 amI agree with the sentiment, and it would be hilarious to see the ICC's reaction if Zim and Sco progressed for example![]()

The last thing we need is a do or die, winner takes all match with Scotland, we all know how that would end...

We just need to win two. I dont think todays result changes that? If we win two games we qualify, right?

Come on your Scots! They've punched above their weight massively this tournament. Hope they can trip up the Sri Lankans today

Scotland in with a decent chance but srilanka still favorites imo .i see Scotland making 170-180 and as i type another wicket falls
Re: 2023 WCQ | non-Zimbabwe matches
It is better for Zimbabwe, if Sri Lanka wins. So I'm not taking any chances here. I'll back Sri Lanka.
