Again, it says more about the exceptionally low standard of our domestic cricket than it does about his ability. This really is poor cricket at the moment.

If he is as good as his current stats are showing, why isn't he playing Shield cricket in Australia? We've had numerous good Australian and English professionals play in Zim over the years and they have not had the numbers he is currently producing.

I still think this is just an unbelievable rich vein of form and sooner or later his numbers will drop significantly. It's inexplicable that he could genuinely be of this standard but has never been given half a chance in either Pakistan or Australia.

Maybe we have to give credit where it is due.

Williams has had sub standard scores past 3 innings and we all know he is a good player.
Ben Curran has been average too.
There is clear daylight between domestic bowlers and then blessing ngarava though.

Ben Curran probably isn't the batter we were hoping he would be

Seriously impressive bottle job. What is wrong with our cricketers?

They should add him to the regional squads even if he isn't eligible. That way we can assess his quality and he will also improve the standard there. We have to be honest. The only guys we saw do this before were county players and the big 4 at their peak.

Ya it’s a combination of a purple patch and/or our poor domestic standard. If he was as awesome as his stats suggest there is no way he’d be paying to play in his third choice country because someone better would have already snapped him up.

What I like about the tuskers is that a lot of those players are actually from there. We need to actually check how many local players these teams have because as mentioned before, rivalries bring context. If they actually do add an extra team I would say they should add an extra team in Harare to create a rivalry.
