don't even whisper that Zimfan1 ... i think i like Ray even more than sscricket like Meth (though he [Ray] speaks for himself usually - he has been the tightest even in this T20)
Do you see him being around at the next world cup? and i think Taylor is quite set on having cremer as the main spinner in the test lineup

Matsi absolutely brilliant. Each time he's come to the crease he's looked good from ball one. One one of his lesser performances he gets a far better score than the other 'poor' innings. Mishit a few, missed a few hits, and attempted unnatural shots. All in all a wonderful performance. Century was there for his taking, it's a pity. He's been very good this season so I'd like to see him in the A team, along with you know who......

He missed out on the man of the match to Muzhange. Poor chioce by the commentators. Thought the decision reflected a bit of prejudice. Nonetheless Muzhange bowled VERY well once again. One to look out for!

I see him in the test side for another couple of years (I don't think it's Cremer's time just yet)... but no, not beyond that and maybe not even many ODIs from now on in

Ray has never been a large spinner of the ball; he mainly got wickets through dip and change in pace, but I think teams are either working him out or he is now getting over the hill. When he returned to the side on 07 he was fantastic! Spun it, took wickets and kept the runs down. And in all honesty he's Been doing it up until the Bangladesh series. I'm sure there's life in the old dog yet though ;) we'd all love to see razor back in business I'm sure ;)

Taylor took Price on and won. If he'd been stumped three yards down the track, we'd all be worrying over his form. :? Price took 1/11 off 4 the other day. Hardly crap.

Mountaineers vs Rocks

Sauramba set the stage on fire didnt he? Got the perfect stance and the vertical bat position to start out. Small package but Big future ahead! Definitely not as quick as Kasuza but compensates with the perfect stance and technique.

Kasuza seems to cramp himself with his guard. I can barely see his stumps. Needs to show more of his stumps and play straight and on the offside more often.

Mountaineers seem to be tactically superior to the other teams and playing fearlessly at the moment!
Hats off to coach Brent in bringing these young guys onboard and getting the tactical side of things spot on!

After watching this game my sleep caught up with me. I missed the second game.

Anyway here is what I inferred from cricinfo scores.
If Matsi is scoring at 132 this has to be a batting paradise. Period. Free for all! :D

If Elton is good enough to bowl only one over per game then I have to classify Hamilton as an allrounder because he can do that too. I am curious as to how much Elton would concede if he bowled 4 overs. The charity stand will be having a wild party. Thats for sure.

Besides he(Hami) opened the bowling the other day for the mountaineers!

The pitch seems to be dicatating the outcome. Fewer wickets for plenty of runs!
Yorkers win! Muzhange seems to be on a straight trajectory headed for national team because he is a death dealer.Definitely someone that can be useful and teach the others how to bowl yorkers. If he can keep Gayle quiet then he deserves a spot in any team!

Hats off to our coaches , we are not just seeing this tournament as entertainment but also an opportunity to view our future . These three guys all show promise for the shorter version .
Sauramba - Can come in when we need too up the rate
Kasuza - Can bring stability at the same time hitting ( as for his technical flaws , I feel he should be sent somewhere (Australia or SA at a High Performance Centre during the off season ) to tune him up .Or domestically work with Dave Houghton or Grant Flower who were master batsmen .
Muzhange - Death bowler can make the difference between a score of 240 from 270 .

And a question is our Academy still working . ( Ex CFX Academy ) - Useful for polishing our rough diamond pickings .....

I dont think we should get too excited over a couple of flashy 20s and 30s and a few tight overs. Previous editions of this tournament have thrown up brilliant new prospects only for FC reality to set in soon after. There are some good prospects being unearthed, but most should be a fair distance away from playing for Zim.

Is is just me or is this a little weird, that top team faces second team whilst third and fourth face each other. Common sense would dictate that as incentive the top team faces the weakest qualifier, and the top two are separated as far as possible.

An alternative way (though longer) would to have the top team straight into the final, then 4 and 3 slug it out for a date with 2 and the winner of that to face the top team....

Maybe I am out of touch with T20 (not exactly my favourite format)
1. Mawoyo 2. Duffin 3. Sibanda 4. Taylor 5. Masakadza 6. Williams 7. Chakabva 8. Creamer 9. Jarvis 10. Rainsford 11. Mpofu
