Morning session tomorrow will determine the winner I guess and especially the first hour. We tend to be awful when things aren’t going our way. Just keep it tight also until the new ball (23ov).

Hopefully an early wicket will open the gates to restrict their lead to under 200. North of 250 we are struggling. If that batting line up clicks chasing 250 is really realistic, except for Welch, most of our top order gave it away as usual.

Sure I heard on commentary that 162 is the highest 4th innings total we’ve ever chased   that can’t be right, can it?!

It’s all mental. Can’t remember the ireland game, that second Afghan test though, chasing 270 over 4 sessions, how can you not do it? 5th day pitch or not

I'm not saying he's awesome. I'm saying he's our most accurate seamer and he's very good. Nobody comes close to his accuracy. Forget about his batting for a minute because he's been very ordinary. We don't have a guy that just bowls that nagging line and length with any consistency other than him. We've got Blessing at one end and at the other side is Richie and he's great when he's bowling well, but everyone of our seamers is prone to leaking runs. Evans much less so.
As far as his batting goes he has a much higher ceiling than people give him credit for. He's got all the shots, great hand eye, but just gives it away. Maybe he won't fix that, we've got plenty of guys with the same problem.

I'm just saying he'd be in my line-up in every format for his bowling. Someone would have to be demonstratively better to displace him. You just know he's going to be consistent.
Ngarava has had a poor time of it so far. He's been all over the place. Nyauchi has had bursts of consistency but then sprays it. Did they put him in the regionals so they could compare like for like? Nope. Why? He'd have been our most economical bowler, take poison on it.
Nyamhuri has potential, no doubting that. Matigimu as well, but Evans will outperform them most times. I'd back Gimu to be close.

To be fair to evans’ batting, it’s respectable. Potential there. Hopefully he can do enough he can’t be ignored, like Curran and welch did.

I find nyamhuri in the academy side a bit weird. Like one week he’s good enough to mix it with Rashid khan and another week he’s good enough to mix it with Andy blignaut’s kid

He'll most likely also be in the Zim A and if u13's go to Coca Cola week in SA he'll be in that as well.

Those Academy sides playing Scotland is a double glove slap for the good professional cricketers trying to get noticed here. For shame!!

With the new ball due in the 23rd it's going to be crucial how Ervine does the changes. We need Blessing first thing, but he also needs to be fresh for the new ball.
Agree, the game will be won or lost in the first hour tomorrow.
