he's not had the opportunity to face any bowlers of class
He's faced all the same bowlers that your beloved Maruma and Chigumbura has faced
Wrong. Very wrong!!! They've faced plenty top bowlers. You forget Maruma has played plenty games for ZIM A/XI/Chairman/President/Tour etc over the years.
And Burl will as well! He's 7 years younger than Maruma as well.
I would rather have a younger player showing his metal and averaging 40 than a 30 year old Maruma wasting his potential.
I was a massive advocate for Maruma when he started out, and was extremely pleased when he got selected for the West Indies Tour in 2009, but then soon realised he simply wasn't good enough. He bowled back then as well, which added greater merit to his selection

What would Vusi add to the team?

You look at most of our batsmen and they have a clearly defined role... Masakadza is that experienced cool head who can go big, Taylor is the match winner who can defend and attack, Williams is that flashy left hander who can bowl, Cremer is that dependable lower order bowling allrounder, Mawoyo is that gritty back-against-the-wall opener, Mire is that reckless Warner-like slogger, etc.

The only guy who doesn't really have a defined role is Waller. And he'll be the first batsman to be dropped, not coincidentally.

What would Sibanda add, what would his role be? Because unless we're in desperate need of a player who can pick out midwicket with the pull shot on cue, I think Sibanda falls in the Waller category - which, after this Test, will be on the sidelines.

To be honest, ZC should do this forum a favor and select HHM's XI and Schedule a Test vs Afghanistan and Ireland so we can finally end this nonsense once and for all. A few innings defeats ought to prove the fact since clearly Ervine, Taylor, and Raza's knocks have not knocked sense into him.

The way Vusi crumbles in the commentary box highlights his mental ability for me. His thoughts are all over the place and he seems to lack confidence and granted being a good commentator does not mean you are a good batsman it feel it provides some insight into how such a talented batsman can fail so often
+1.

The peopple who continually made him Zim A captain must have been smoking something too, appointing a person with such clumsy thought.

I can see the argument for Vusi the batsman, but I have no idea where one would get Vusi the captain from.

Bring back Vusi Sibanda now.

Taibu do the right thing and swallow your pride.

Without Vusi, Shingi, Chatara and Panyngara this ZIM side is doomed.

Both Mawoyo and Panyangara along with their potbellies are desperately needed.

Ok please supply one good reason why Vusi should be selected

In struggling to think of any as he’s only played 6 first class games in 3 years and hasn’t scored a first class century since the 15/16 season

The Vusi of old could well be recalled, but why should the current Vusi be recalled?

Let' stalk after the Boxing Day Test.

Pretty sure between now and then a number of players will play Logan Cup etc, then that One-off massacre Test in PE.
