And he’s bowled!
We’re down to our last two batters- Schardendorf and Tugwete.
Why do they not back off a bit and consolidate when they’re under pressure? I just don’t get it. We’re not going to bat the full 50

I’d say go hard or go home with the rain up in here. They probably figured they wouldn’t get more than 40 overs

Aaaaaaand I don’t think consolidating really works. Not with Zim. Sometimes the best way to consolidate is to attack in order for a small reprieve when they set the fields to allow easy singles.

When Zimbabweans slow down to preserve wickets, they generally lose wickets anyway. Usually catches at slip and LBWs which they may not have had if they attacked.

Top order let the side down here, not sure if the bowling unit can defend a low total

And is Ndlela the kid you said ages ago Googky it was criminal to leave him out as he was out best fast bowler?

I vaguely recall you thinking It was laughable one of our quicks wasn’t selected.

Ya he should never have been left out. There’s a lot of politics involved as always.
I think it must be raining there, scoreboard hasn’t moved in while. We’re going to have to bowl our socks off and get a bit lucky or we’re going to get beat. And will basically make the next games all must wins.

The rain is going to make this game a lot closer than it should be. I personally don't think bowling first is a good idea when there is rain around. Scoreboard pressure can come from nowhere with that ridiculous formula

What will put a spanned in the works is if this game is rained out.

Conventional thought surely thinks this group was going to be Pak + zim/bang going through.

Scoreboard aside, I think a rainout helps zim.

With 9 batsman, I think zim are a better chance of ambushing and crushing Scotland. Bangladesh will be more clinical in dispatching them, but I think we are better placed to annhiliate them.

What would make it even more interesting is If say, Pakistan has a rain out against Scotland.
