[Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Pakistan (1st ODI)
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Pakistan (1st ODI)
Yes we can win this one, we have to do it steadily and not take too many risk, we have a pretty long tail for Zim standards, no panicking

Oh my, Sibanda!
Sometimes the best pull shot in the game, sometimes the worst. That was glorious.

The Pakis are pulling the run-rate down. hope Vusi doesn't get impatient and do something stupid.
Vusi, Mawoyo, H.Masakadza, Taylor, Ervine, Williams, Mutumbami, S.Masakadza, Meth, Price, Jarvis

Great to see Price pick up 2-39. For a mediocre player who should be dropped he put in a pretty good performance.
Yet again Chibhabha has failed, when will people learn that Chibhabha is not international material? I am not sure how Chibhabha can be selected while Craig Ervine sits on the bench.

Chibhabha's okay, he was a decent number three a few years ago but he's been overtaken by quite a few people since. I don't think he was the right selection today; even though Ervine isn't in much better form it would have been better to stick with Taylor as an opener and Ervine in the middle order.
The scenario right now is 128 from the last 21 overs. I reckon if Taylor and Taibu can put on 50 or 60 Zimbabwe would be in with a pretty good shot.

Looks like Chibhabha did not know what hit him there...Ervine is a better pick than Chibbs

He got out at the wrong time Sibanda, but he had the right intent. Zimbabwe do need a few boundaries to ease the pressure, we're probably about 10 to 15 runs behind where we'd want to be right now.
The question is, when will the powerplay be taken? And who will do the attacking?

This is what I have been saying all season but people prefare to concerntrate on his batting which to be honest has been way below par, but as a bowler he has been very good.takleg wrote:Chigumbura definitely has his bowling form back. Let's hope he keeps it and also hope he starts getting some useful runs down the order.
1. Mawoyo 2. Duffin 3. Sibanda 4. Taylor 5. Masakadza 6. Williams 7. Chakabva 8. Creamer 9. Jarvis 10. Rainsford 11. Mpofu
