This is Rocks were talking about. And they're playing this match like they really don't give a damn.Flower power wrote:Beware the money bags "eagles " are chokers

One thing that concerns me is the amount of paddle/dodgy/cute sweeps or scoops being attempted. I guess they must be discussing them and practising. Most of our guys look ugly trying them and without much success. They can't all be Dougie.

Time for Vitori to clear the fence a couple of times
Re: [Series thread] 2011 Stanbic Bank T20
Well Rocks have lived up to all expectations in this series. Bereft of useful imports aside from Burger. Missing the few decent players they actaully have and just a hodge podge of passengers.

Burger has been a standout, I think Vitori has been great too though. He spearheaded the attack admirably.Jemisi wrote:Well Rocks have lived up to all expectations in this series. I will be gutted if Chamu or Chakabva go to NZ for any format.
Chamu has provided his signature negative starts (if such a thing exists) to get the rocks free falling. Convince me!
One good knock in four games? Is that too much to ask for?
It would be like a constantly abused wife staying with her husband hoping he is capable of love one day!
Ervine is light years ahead of these guys. Even young Sarumba/kasuza can do no worse.

I missed what appears to be a lopsided affair. Somebody had to toss those conceited Eagles a bone! Now they can bow out 'gracefully' so the Mountaineers can also facilitate the Rhinos's dismemberment at the hands of the Mighty Tuskers. We took our foot off the pedal and made them look better than they are!
Alistair Campbell likes Chamu a lot, he might not be the convenor of selectors anymore but I wouldn't put it past him convincing the others to select him. Besides, whom do you think Makoni will go for - Chamu or Ervine?
Anyway, on a much serious note, it would be a travesty to pick Ervine ahead of his captain at the Tuskers anyway. How on earth would any coach justify leaving Ewing(or Matsi) out for him going by current form.
Come to think of it, this is a tour, so I doubt Zim has the funds to select up to 20 players with a bunch of others being considered ODI or T20I specialists e.g Chamu, Coventry, Mushangwe. Some of the others may actually miss the ride e.g. Utseya. Wouldn't discount Tino opening in one of the ODIs either.
The touring squad will be small, and spread across all formats. Which means unlike last time, there'll be nowhere to hide for Vitori/Jarivs if they get pasted. Aus nonentities are doing a good job of infuriating the NZ batsmen the moment. They should vent their anger on our average attack.
