There's definitely a bit of uncanny resemblance but no, it's not him. This man has represented Rhodesia in another sport toosloandog wrote:Colin Bland?
Not him either.Googly wrote:Paddy Cliff

Bland might be right. We're these pics taken from OG's?

Correct! It is taken from here: http://www.ourstory.com/thread.html?t=545156eugene wrote:John David McPhun.
He also captained the Rhodesian hockey team apart from playing cricket. More here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McPhun

A three-way battle for the lead. Crimson, how long have you been leading this quiz?

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
Just a quick check revealed this: Got to equal top with zimfan1 on Question 211, with 31 points (I had led the points very early in the thread too, briefly). Moved into outright lead on Question 297. Not sure if I was displaced after that. It could have happened with either you or foreignfield going ahead of my score, not sure though. But I could primarily scale these heights because foreignfield started asking questions regularly. Else, with mostly just me asking questions (+ occasionally zimfan1, DrSitu and brmtaylor.com admin), it was impossible.eugene wrote:A three-way battle for the lead. But yeah, I would have enjoyed the most weeks at the top (GOAT?), and also a good score if you consider questions that were available for me to answer (i.e., all questions MINUS questions asked by me). I guess in terms of attempts made and getting the answers correct (i.e., percentage of correct answers among all answers given by the forum member), andrewn9 and Ming must score very high (just an observation, not sure). The opposite of this must be jaybro (with the spice rum influence

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
As I've promised a few weeks ago I've gone back through the thread and counted the number of questions asked (and I hope I haven't missed anyone or messed up their numbers). After 534 questions the standings are:
CrimsonAvenger: 333
foreignfield: 123
zimfan1: 17
brmtaylor.com: 16
Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic): 13
Sloandog: 9

Detective RDS: 3
bayhaus: 2
TrainDriver, betterdays, baiju029, Ming, TheCricketStoreZim, jontym87, spitfireskent, totoro, eugene, samedwards, maehara, jaybro: 1
CrimsonAvenger got the the thread up and running back in 2009; zimfan1, brmtaylor.com and Dr. Situ contributed a lot early on, but since then Crimson has provided the bulk of the questions. The first question I answered was #197, and boldened by that success I posted my first question immediately afterwards (#198). Going back through it all, I was happy to see that I managed to post a few tough nuts over time
