Jessie Ryder scoring 201 against India in the 2nd test recently which equals Grant Flower's test best of 201* against Pakistan?

Well, that is not what I am looking for, as agian, that is not something rare...

OK, let me give a clue. The New Zealander achieved something really enviable. He in fact achieved 2 rare feats in the same match, GF had achieved one and AF had achieved the other in their respective careers.

So, his feat = GF's feat + AF's feat !

And what's more, he hasn't done much since. At least now it should become easier...

The picture is from this match:

http://content.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/65651.html

Grant Flower scored 94 and bowled 10-0-45-0.

And Grant Flower applied an unorthodox shot in his innings(in the picture).

But I don't know what the record is!

All right, here's more clue: We are talking about ODIs here, and "recently" need not mean the "most recent series". But it is recent enough...

I think this was pretty difficult.

GF's rare feat: Carrying the bat on ODI debut
AF's rare feat: Century on ODI debut

The NZ Cricketer who scored a century and carried his bat on ODI debut is Martin Guptill (Jan 2009, series against WI)

Right on target,Crimson Avenger. It is Brian Murphy while playing/coaching for Swardeston CC in UK although it's dated quite a while back. But he did appear in the last summer too for his club.
