Williams (and Raza) are playing a lot less sweep shots these days, and I’m all for them not sweeping as much.

Ya and usually when he pulled it out of his box of tricks in the first 5 deliveries.
Made a lot of runs with it though. It's a fine line

Less than 100 needed now.
Sure you could have got very good odds on a second string Dutch team beating both SL and WI.

The Netherlands have a very healthy run rate today - if they win, they're gonna get a good NRR boost.

SL captain recognising this is a key moment to get Edwards and bringing on the seamer but I'd be happier with him sweeping from both ends early doors.

Not sure it matters a huge amount for them. If they are tied on points with someone then the first tie-breaker is number of wins, and their WI match was officially a tie. NRR is second after number of wins.

I'm surprised they've taken off Hasaranga. He looked the one most likely to take a wicket here.

When I listen to Andy Flower in the commentary box I realise thats the kind of coach you need for a new generation. No nonsense. The way he was disappointed with Nidamanuru says it all. I think DH is the kind of guy you need for senior players but if we ever want to see the likes of Wes prosper we need the Andy Flower approach. Houghton is more relaxed and let's senior players trust their game.

I see, that's interesting! I assumed it was the other way round.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 12:39 pmNot sure it matters a huge amount for them.
