Great sportsmanship from the Rhinos boys in giving the Mountaineers players and supporters the hope that they were in with the chance of a win

Managed watch most of the match over the past few days. The stream actually worked for most parts. Here is my summary:
- Kiran Carlson looks a solid bat, decent overseas player
- Chingwara was great with the ball, no pace but he was constantly hitting the right lines
- Munyonga batted really well, think his lack of experience cost him a century and a team win though, was trying hit everything at the end instead of batting sensibly
- Mavayos keeping Was pretty poor especially in the 4th innings, dropped chances and poor positioning
- Ryan Burl, did nothing with the bat and wasn’t great with the ball
- overall the batting from both teams was pretty poor. Looked very sloppy, and lacking the discipline required for first class cricket. Pitch wasn’t great but other than a select few it was a match to forget for most bats
- Magodo batted well first innings but bottled his chance at a 50. Look forward to see him more (as long he is not bowling
)
- I know I say this all the time but Nyauchi was great with the new ball, looks a step above the others. Look forward to seeing him in Zim colours again.
Was not expecting the Rhinos to win that game but a decent win for them nonetheless. Both teams have got a lot to work on if they are to win this years comp. Saying that I haven’t seen the other sides yet, but that batting lineup for the Eagles is going to be tough to beat.

Yes, he has a fine temperament for a tight spot, comes good so often when it's most needed.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 1:25 pmMunyonga batting well in both innings, jsut watched a bit of the stream and he looks good. He's Mountaineers last hope here.

Interesting game which could have gone either way, the only players to really put their hand up imo for a Test birth was Wellington, who took a 5-for in the 2nd innings & Nyauchi who along with Wellington took 6 for the match.

From the other match, Ervine & Chamu clearly the stars, whilst I doubt we will see Chamu force his into the middle order (unless there are a heap of injuries) there were a few other players out their hands up.
Madhevere scored a 50 & also has 4 wickets for the match, maybe he could be the Test No.7 or 8 that bowls spin? He’s certainly bowled a lot of overs in this match that’s for sure.
Mudzinganyama & Curran have done a good job to keep the Rocks in this game for a draw, a big day ahead for both as spots in the top 3 are certainly there for the taking. Regardless of a test call up, both of these guys just need some time in the middle after poor Pro50 seasons.

Besides those two, the Moutaineers bowling lineup was an utter disaster to begin with. It is shocking that Rhinos actually got all out twice to them. But yeah, those two showed their class. And some gutsy stuff by Munyonga.

Curran didn’t last long this morning, and once Mudzinganyama’s brave stand ended on 53, the Rocks are crumbling.

Too talented a bat to be that low. Should be number 6 for now and will surely move higher up the order as the years pass by.
A batting average of 34 and a bowling average of 22 is seriously good by Zim FC standards.
