Raza needs a big hundred tomorrow to silence the doubters

Guys defending his picking and choosing, avoiding the warm up to play PSL and saying he’s the premier spinner. He’s made 7 runs and got tonked all over picking up 1/93

How you defending that? It’s probably what you’d have got from Wellington.

Dropping an in form welch for him is wild.
You’d have picked Welch over Raza? Wtf are you smoking? Welch was dropped to accommodate the extra seamer, not to accommodate Raza.

Raza bowled 20 consecutive overs from one end, fairly tidily considering the carnage, which was absolutely critical considering Ngaravas injury. We’d have gone for 600+ on day 1 without him.

The choice was Raza or Wellington and nobody is seriously selecting Wellington over Raza.

You’re obsessed, I don’t know what it is?

So you’re telling me a batter (welch) was dropped to accommodate a bowler (Chivanga) and a bowler (Wellington) was dropped to accommodate a batter (raza) what kind of propaganda is this?!

What really happened is one quota batter has been replaced with another quota batter who bowls a bit of spin. A spin bowler has been replaced with a seamer.

England’s score never mattered at all, we were never taking 20 wickets and winning. A complete long shot, we might have snuck a draw. The best chance of achieving this would be with quality batting. Absolutely I’d pick welch over raza knowing our batting would be more important to the game than our bowling

You’re equally obsessed, I do know what it is

Bennett should not have opened in the 2nd innings , poor decision but not surprised as they continue to make poor choices. Righto so for me there are players right now that Zim needs to move on from test cricket with an eye to the futurel. Welch , BT , Naqvi , Evans ,Higgins would make a big difference to the balance of the team over the next couple of years.
Bennett
Curran
N.Welch
Naqvi
Taylor
Williams
Madhevere/J.Campbell/Burl - pick who is in form
Tsiga/Madande - pick who is in form
Higgins
Evans
Muzarabani

That's my dream team , others in the mix would be
Ngarava if he gets fitter which probably won't happen
Nyamhuri , Masakesa, Myers , Kataino , M.Welch , M. Campbell.
Need to develope some good seam bowlers as a priority.

Higgins would not be batting 9. You could bat him at 7, then the keeper at 8, then spinner at 9 and two pacers. Give the side so much more balance.

The current problem we have is after the keeper no one can bat strongly. The best teams get another 50 to a 100 with the lower order/bowlers.

Ngarava isn't too bad a bat to be fair to him

You’re asking for a fantasy because nothing happens until the quota is ditched.
I think we will be making strides just upping the quota to 7

Hopefully ICC and ECB paid attention to Castle Corner.
Zimbos were loving life there.
I just cant stop thinking about Bennett's innings.
Aside from how good it was it saved some serious blushes.
They really should have shuffled the batting order around yesterday and tried to keep him off the park until today.

I'm really crossing fingers for the batters today. Need a couple more big scores. Williams deserves to sign off with a big score, as did Ervine, but so important for anyone else to weigh in as well. With tweaking we can play at this level and its vital that we do. A 2 or 3 match series would have been so much better. I'm gutted for NW, he was so ready for that game, so much to prove. What a blunder keeping him out, with foresight and hindsight. He'll need a strong mind to take that double glove slap. He's been waiting for that for a long time.

ZC have a few weeks to decide what to do about our bowling attack. We have Evans and Gimu to now seriously consider.
I don't know how bad Richie's injury is, but he's on thin ice bowling the way he is. He's lost pace and control.
If hes got any bottle he'll bat today (hopefully tomorrow)

The world was watching that, partly from a historical perspective, because of the black armband thing.
The entire country celebrated wildly when Mugabe finally had to go so were they that wrong? We lived through another 20 years of his rule and continue under the destructive leadership of Zanu so probably not. If the state of play back then was worthy of two black arm bands then we surely need about 20 million now.
Interesting and sad that Flower's protest was disregarded by the black folk, but they considered Olonga's to be unacceptable.

There's a similar thing going on in SA atm with Trump and Ramaphosa. Everyone knows that ANC have all but destroyed SA and the South Africans hate Zimbabweans and kill them regularly along with the SA farmers but the consensus here is that Trump should mind his own business and leave Ramaphosa to govern as he pleases.
If you can make sense of that then you'll understand Africa.

I know Brian's twin wanted to go to uni first but does he have any plans to return to cricket or has that ship sailed? Who was the more talented brother?

Hasn't been as Big an embarrassment as I had thought but still quite poor so far. If Zimbabwe can make England bat again, it will be huge.

Absolute shit decision to play Madhevere and Raza over Nick Welch... Again we all know why such shit decisions are taken but I'd rather not say it. Fucking shit decision that.

It sure looks like South Africa is screwed. With the way things are going, we could see a million Rand note within the next 20 years.
