Apparently the National contacted players have been payed fully and are playing but the province level players haven't got their salaries in full, so striking. National players taking the field and not showing solidarity with the local players...

They aren't paid last year dues, thats why they have not decided to take part in the game.

Now, even black community players are also imposing strikes due to non payment of salaries. Previously they criticized and blamef whites for not being patriotic and running away to other nation due to money. i,e Taylor & Jarvis.

Now it could be said even black players aren't patriotic.

...but only for the Tuskers? Who's fielding for the Rhinos, then?!
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

This game probably should be stripped of FC status, shouldn't it?...
Can't even start imagining what all can be done with this match. Do the Rhinos even have 11 guys on the field?

Full Comedy is going on...Players who are having central contract taking part, while others are in strike.

Hope it doesn't falls under the guidelines of ICC as they have some special code of conducts regarding fast class cricket, for full member nation that have got Test Status.

What a farce. Hopefully it's still FC though so Cremer's century stands.

To be honest probably nobody in the world outside this forum and the players involved knows this is happening.
I doubt whoever types the scorecard into Cricinfo will see Williams opening and think "gee, better untick the First Class box!"

Those SL development/academy games got FC status while the one dayers weren't List A; which I suspect was a mistake. So if that slipped through the cracks I'm sure this will too.

Haha did Matabeleland just declare their fourth innings for a loss?! That might not slip through the cracks...
Goodness me it's descended into a circus.

Complete shambles. I feel so sorry for the domestic players.

And not the funny kind. Truely pathetic scenes.

Something like this was needed to shift ZC's ass into gear though.
ZC is the real shambles... a cricket authority that can't stage a game of cricket. Pathetic. If this display doesn't bring about meaningful change then it'll have been for nothing unfortunately. Because if not then give it another month and there'll be more non-payments and the cycle continues.

Where are all the AC haters now! Like him or not, he knew how to run a cricket tournament.
