Big celebrations. Nice to see it means something.

Congrats to Eagles. I hope Wes gets fined or something for his behaviour.
I only switched on at the end, what did Wes do?
He was bowling to Jaure. Jaure prods back towards Wes. He was out of his crease, so Wes launched the ball in towards the stumps. Very wild, wayward, aggressive throw though, very nearly went straight into Jaure's face.

Umpire seemed to reprimand Wes or say something - next minute Wes is right in the umpires face - nose to nose - wagging his finger at him. Unacceptable.

Not sure what PJ Moor is adding to our domestic game to be honest. He has thrown his lot in with Ireland, no point him taking up a spot in the Mountaineers top order.

He's surely adding ability and depth? He's a good player and they have the option to pick an overseas or two. If he was replacing an equally good local player or an up and coming one then it would be a fair comment.
Good player, great guy, can dominate the local attacks when he's playing well.
I'm surprised they give him game time because he's had some serious differences with key people, but credit to them they let him play.
I don't see him playing competitive cricket for too much longer, to be honest. The Ireland gamble has not worked out so far and is unlikely to. Once you're on the periphery, as he is, you need some big runs in succession to get back on the radar. It can happen, of course. He's got good options outside of cricket, which is more than most can say. There are so many good players just like PJ, good enough to play the big leagues, but perhaps don't convert at important times, there's a bit of luck in that.

I’m very surprised they still keep letting him play here after his Ireland call-up tbh. It’s good, it’s another sign the days of bitterness at things are behind us.

I would think they could probably get a better Overseas later in the season especially after Christmas when English guys are usually interested in coming over. Dane must be playing as an overseas and there is the promised Pakistani pacer on the way. Will we see Compton again? It might be hard for Moor to get in the team if they still limit it to 2 overseas per side.

I see Frost, Curran, Schardendorf and Matt W sat out today.
Frost is not dissimilar to PJ in that he has committed to Ireland so presumably is playing as an overseas.
I'm not sure why there aren't some really established overseas guys not trying to play here? We're getting the wannabes and perhaps they shouldn't be getting games ahead of local guys who are here year round and are trying to make a name.
Curran's omission surprised me a little, but I think if he wants to play as a local and hope to climb the ladder he needs to spend a year here, not breeze in and out. He must be feeling stressed, but he needs to commit, integrate and make runs at whatever level, club if necessary, he's not going to get the red carpet treatment.
MW should definitely be getting game time, maybe when the national guys go to Namibia he'll get a game or two. He's a guy who could really push on. You'd think someone should ensure he gets full exposure in all formats. He's one of a small handful of guys that may have the goods. They keep saying what are we going to do when the Big 3 step down, but where's the pathway?
J Schardendorf is also probably going to get limited opportunity and he's going to have to bat out of his socks if and when he gets a shot.

I had heard Compton may not be coming this year?
Pity, he's been a fixture and guys have really learnt from him.
