ChatGPT could have done it for him.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 3:06 pmI’m all for blunt straight talk but TM’s communication is all wrong here.
I would have gone with this:
‘ZC have implemented many structural changes over the last few years. We have seen soem of the best cricketing minds come and go in the coaching ranks, namely Streak, Houghton, whatmore etc
We cannot continue to rotate coaching staff and lay blame at their feet. At ZC, we are embarrassed that our team has failed against sides that do not enjoy the advantages of full time cricket salaries and facilities.
Going forward, there will be little tolerance for players failing in thee professional commitments as elite athletes.
Players that fail to abide by the necessary health and nutrition standards, as well as training performance standards, will have their contracts reviewed’.
That sounds much better and cleared imo^

Yes and no.Googly wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 3:07 pmElite junior batters generally have to start from the age of about 6 from a cricketing family. They need to play up, get properly coached and play age group from u9 to u19.
We have u19, we skipped the other 14 years. The occasional tour that was organised in the past had the likes of the Pimp Meister turning it into a shit show.
I’d say they need to start at no later than age 11 and possess an aptitude and hone in from there.
I can’t see all these Aussie and NZ cricketers for example doing this, but once identified need the right coaching and training
Warner never really had much coaching
On the flip, I do know Michael Clarkes dad owned an indoor cricket net (most likely part of a bigger indoor sports complex) and flogged him silly. To back up your point.

Re: Zimbabwe Squad for Sri Lanka
Who are the players earning 5,6,7 and 8k (before tax)?
When the wrong guys are getting those figures you've already got a major problem. If they're going to shout then they need to be doing it from the moral high ground or players will know its just a show and will know it's back to business as normal after the tirade.
And when the bosses are earning astronomical salaries themselves it's just a bullshit message isn't it?
There are senior domestic players being looked after whilst better younger players cant eat or pay rent, and the answer seems to be pay less?

Re: Zimbabwe Squad for Sri Lanka
We don't have age group, we don't have an academy, we don't have bowling machines, ZC don't have an indoor, we've got some terrible guys in the admin and management that the players despise.
We've got Williams and Ervine winding down quicker than you can imagine.
We've got the worst excuses for selectors imaginable, they never ever pick the right side. This is a major problem. We have a tiny player pool, we can't have a single passenger.
If admin is interfering in selection then they need to stop, if they're not interfering then fire the guys making the wrong choices.
It shouldn't be a debate and a horse trade, get one or two guys that know what they're doing and let them get on with it. This applies to domestic cricket as well. The selections there are equally dire. People playing games and settling scores and worse still actually making money out of it.
If they want to see improvements then get rid of these guys.

If they were serious about starting afresh they should have closed the Queens brothel and had the guy's head on a stake.
If they make any changes the one guarantee is that there will be mostly wrong and it will mostly be window dressing, that's the top game.

He's not throwing the right guys under the bus, that's the problem.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 2:30 pmThere’s one problem in Zim cricket and it’s bloody Mukuhlani. And his pals.
We can keep pretending that the players enjoy losing, or the coaches are terrible, or that if we picked Johnathan Campbell we’d turn into world beaters but the absolute fact remains that the sole biggest problem in the sport is HIM.
He knows it and he’s feeling the pressure and to me his sorry little outburst is just pressure showing. He’ll throw literally anyone under the bus before taking any accountability himself.
We haven’t heard the end of this.
As I predicted on here two months ago, disaster on multiple fronts awaits us in 2024.
In charge of millions of dollars and he's got the wrong people in key spots, looking after people for a variety of wrong reasons.
Also we need to sort out the umpiring. Incompetent, biased and vindictive people fucking with people's careers without a single consequence.

This 1,000x this!!!!!!
But nah, apparently it’s the players faults for not all being as good as Kohli.
Re: Zimbabwe Squad for Sri Lanka
The problem is they pick guys for key positions that they know will protect their interests, not the interests of Zimbabwe cricket. The day we get someone who believes he's a custodian of our cricket and not the owner we will turn a corner. That day is not coming in our lifetimes.
