The biggest shame is that we didn't score an extra 50 or so in the first innings.
I think the horse has bolted now. I'd go defensive lines from now on and bring the field close again, make sure that South Africa bat through to stumps and hopefully a bit beyond.

I think you called for his inclusion a while ago, and must feel vindicated with his performance here. Very courageous effort so far, and without a doubt, must be in the playing XI for that first test in BD. Williams to bowl his lefties too, so the competition heats up for lead spinner no.2. Variation demands Mushangwe over Utseya. But Nyumbu, for me, surely has sealed it with this performance.zimfan1 wrote:Has Nyumbu done enough to play in the first test in Bangladesh?

Nyumbu, Mushangwe and Williams looks the best combo for BD

on issue is that we dont want to have to face to many overs tonight, looks dark so we may not get all the remaining 19 overs in

I think we have to knock them over. Our performance will come down to our second innings batting. Bowling them out is a key goal, as well as restricting them to under 400.brmtaylor.com admin wrote:The biggest shame is that we didn't score an extra 50 or so in the first innings.

Did I miss anything about Hami? Surprised he hasn't bowled at all.

Nyumbu's bowled 19 overs more than anyone else at the moment. Hope they don't over-bowl him and leave him injured...

I am actually really impressed with John here! Looks like he turns the ball a lot, and unlike Utsea isn't afraid to really bowl some attacking lines! With regards to Utsea I'm actually happy that the selectors aren't scared of dropping him! Shows that he isn't un dropable
