The format of this World Cup could potentially be good, but unfortunately about half the teams in the tournament haven't really shown up. The format isn't always to blame. England, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka all under performing really hasn't helped.

Yeah nothing wrong with the format. Netherlands and Sri Lanka performed at par, you'd have to say...2 wins is about right. Perhaps SL could have snatched a 3rd win somewhere. England massively underachieved, they should have won about 4 games. Bangladesh too should have won 4. But Afghanistan were the surprise package, pushing for a semifinal spot until the very end, however unlikely it may have been. Massive kudos to them. I'll have more detailed thoughts once the group stage is finished.

Even though we are out of the tournament for a while now, I'm still very excited about today's Bangladesh-Australia game. There's nothing like a matchup against one of the best sides in the world in a World Cup. Shakib is out, so that means vice captain Shanto takes over for just the 3rd time in his career. He's back in the runs now, and I hope he signs off on a high. A century vs Australia will always look good on the CV.

Aussies putting us in...Shanto says he would have batted first anyways.

Average score here is well above 300.

In any tournament certain teams will always underperform. You could argue the dutch and afghans have overperformed as well. So, what's your point? This is the worst format in any major tournament of any sport combined. Period.

I see Willey is retiring. It means Sam C breathes again in this format.
Bangladeshi batters have played the Aussie attack with ease and grace. Two stupid runouts.

I believe there's dissent in the English ranks. The players are anti Buttler as captain.

Jeez Shami and Bumrah are bowling an unbelievable spell here. Game over. Top of off. Nothing else. Relentless
