I just want to see England and India beat  they’re much less tolerable powerhouses than Australia. I hope the smaller teams do well.

All this talk of us automatically qualifying is overrated, we’d be a better team mentally having to go through the ordeal of qualifying again and coming out the other side successful.

I do agree that no matter what Zimbabwe should be able to beat the likes of Uganda easily. I mean Afghanistan have shredded them then why can't Zimbabwe just beat them? Qualifying for 20 team ICC events should not be that difficult for a full member nation. It is embarrassing.

Having said that, I'm keeping an eye on this Ranking thing because a direct entry would be good any way we look at it. It will also allow the team to play more freely and confidently in upcoming series'.

Only just managed to watch the highlights of the first game between Canada and USA.... wow 😳

That was a seriously high standard of cricket. We wouldn't have come close to the power shown by the USA. Kirton from Canada looks like an absolute jet.

Zimbabwe can’t compete with USA/Canada if they apppy themselves.
Too many Indians flocking in and not a culture of tolerating ineptitude.

They are OK but playing against each other in what was a flat deck probably made them look better than what they are.

Less than 12 months ago, Zimbabwe thrashed 400+ against a similar USA team and Canada, while on the rise, are still going to be losing against even mid associate level teams.

Irish batting was disappointing. You just need to post 120 on these pitches and you're in the game. Most guys went out backing to leg. Not a good look when you should be setting yourself 7 an over.

Turning out to be a very boring WC this. I'm one of those guys who loves bowler friendly pitches but this is just extreme. In India we are barely watching the games that start early morning our time and 20 teams is very difficult to keep track of for a casual fan, as I had expected many of my friends and relatives don't even know what's going on.

Empty stadiums, even an India game saw a more than half empty stadium. The whole idea of playing in the USA was poor, on top of that they were given auto qualification. ICC deserves this tough, can't ever feel sorry for them.

Ticket prices partly to blame as ever. The very cheapest tickets for India-Ireland yesterday in New York started at $130 and majority were more expensive than that.

Also 10.30am weekday starts (plus the ground is a 1-2hr drive from downtown NY) can’t be helping the crowds there.

And nobody in the West Indies is paying money to go and see Uganda and PNG.

Just read that its $200 for car parking at the NY stadium as well.

I will never complain about the matchday parking scams at HSC ever again

Congratulations to Uganda for winning their first World Cup game. Batting was ordinary from both teams, but a win is a win. (those dropped catches were heart breaking for PNG)

Was very impressed with how Uganda bowled though. Miyagi has a bright future ahead. :)

Kyewuta & Masaba have been great in both games. :D
