[Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs South Africa, 2nd ODI
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs South Africa, 2nd ODI
Credit to Hammy for getting KJ back on
Big wicket we’re well on top
Dogg is right though chasing will be hard we need to keep them under 150

What are your odds on Steyn to get 50+?
As one of the experienced pros he knows to come out and treat Zim with total disrespect.

KJ has it on a string at the moment I’d be tempted to bowl him and try and clean them up quickly

150 + seems tough to chase, pitch is assisting both spinners and fast bowlers

Yeah we have to be attacking. I mean any real cricket team would have them all out by the 35th over with the score what it is.

Did think of Ives and Sly too.sloandog wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 1:16 pmYea I agree there actually. Madhvere looked really good.Black Mamba wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 1:13 pmWesley Madhevere, could be more effective then Roche, as he is someone who can open the batting & bowl off spin full quota of 10 overs
Taun Harrison impressed me as well to be fair; lovely off spinner.
Brendan Sly and maybe Jeremy Ives could be included, too. I'm leaning more towards Ives as he looked really good as a left arm option too
All this is saying to me is we have options, and hence why getting these guys in the set up is important, but also important to have the correct admin and structures in place. It also opens the options of having certain guys as specialist players for test/ODI/T20.
On a side note, whilst this is good to watch, one has to wonder whether our batting can handle SA bowling if they do what we've done
