My view has always been that against weaker sides we need to play big hitters. We don't need overthinkers who will make a match out of nothing. We need clean strikers for the qualifiers. Just like us against bigger teams, weaker teams will fold under pressure. Once their best bowler was smashed for 4 sixes in 1 over they were finished

Suprising result. Seemed a rather comfortable win. Even a rookie Marumani did well against what to my limited knowledge is a pretty solid Nepalese outfit. Didnt watch but Mavuta seems to have had a decent outing given by his economy? If he did, that's very nice to see.
Mavuta bowled okay actually. He didn’t bowl as many pies but didn’t turn it that much. Think he was focusing on accuracy which is key in batter friendly conditions.

He did bowl one awful delivery that actually got a wicket

That is the Nepal first team, our young players look like the real deal. It’s still only the first game though so will have to see how consistent they can be throughout this series.

There is a lots of good spin bowling talents in Zim. Zim should hire a good spin bowling coach from subcontinent to guide this new talents and make them lethal. Mavuta us tall with very neat action, accuracy, mixing between googly and leggie will make him wicket taking option

Right, good and comfortable win. This is only Nepal though, so need to be realistic, very impressed by Munyonga, I hope he builds on from here.

Plenty of games coming up, we've got two in a day tomorrow. 😀

Comprehensive win by a ZIM C team against Nepals first string side. It's always been a wonder to me how mediocre Nepal are despite cricket being massively popular. They are leagues behind Afghanistan.

One early wicket but Zimbabwe seem to be thrashing these Nepal bowlers all over.

Good stuff so far, but I'm a little worried here about the quality of opposition.

Marumani has given it away. It’s a shame he was looking really good again. We are still well on top, I wonder how Munyonga will play today.

Great here comes the rain  kaia has come in higher up in the order. Munyonga probably wants to play the finisher role.
