Also 10.30am weekday starts (plus the ground is a 1-2hr drive from downtown NY) can’t be helping the crowds there.
No one drives in NYC, and yes the ground is located 1-2 hrs away, but the area its located in - Long Island - is still heavily populated. The venue's immediate locality (Nassau county) alone has a population of 1.4 million or so. The Queens border is just 10 miles to the west, and most of the target demographic lives there (Guyanese, Indians, Bangladeshis, and a lot of Pakistanis and Afghans). Queens alone accounts for another 2.3 million people.

The problem has been the timing 1030 am starts on working days. And I think a large number of people have been coming in not from NYC metro area but from surrounding states (DC/Virginia, Connecticut, etc) and they haven't accounted for traffic. Thats poor planning to have games so early in the day, but its been done to get the TV viewers in India.

Looks like a pretty full house for USA vs Pakistan in Dallas. Huge Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi community in the Dallas Ft Worth area.

Might also be this game was probably one of the few "affordable" ones.

Problem is not many people are watching in India, it has also coincided with our National Election results and this time the fight has been close so the people are not yet out of that election fever, not many are even thinking about cricket right now I believe.

Do people care about elections more than cricket? Besides, there’s been no surprises from what I can tell…BJP won in another landslide. Nothing new there.

Not really a landslide this time around. Bjp doesn't have majority on it's own and yeah people do care more about elections than cricket.

What a victory for the USA! Massive massive moment for their cricket. The ICC will be quietly be salivating over this, because it'll inspire a lot of Americans to follow and potentially invest in cricket. The USA low key have a very good T20 side!

What an unbelievable win for the USA!!! This is massive!

Pakistan might be on their way out, I would have put them as one of the favts at the start of the tournament because that bowling line up looks really good and on these kind of pitches where 150-160 is winning score, I thought their players like Babar and Rizwan will come in handy. The team appears to be in complete disarray.

USA have now beaten full member nations in 3 of their last 4 matches against them! Their rankings have just shot up!

Not a landslide at all, This time it's a coalition govt. BJP have not got majority on their own... And the way opposition is celebrating you'd think they have actually won if you don't know the results. 😂

And yea mate, people care about elections far far more than cricket. It's not even close.

If the USA can beat Ireland they will most likely make the quarterfinals which would be a huge achievement. All of this shows just how far Zimbabwe have fallen off the pace. How many Zimbabweans would make the USA team?
