What ZC will likely do is keep persevering with some guys because they feel they've invested (i use that term loosely) so much time in them. They will use the excuse that the next blokes might also need 50-100 games

I don't agree. He has been given way too many opportunities and has yet failed to cement his place in the side. Welch or Curran deserve a chance ahead of him.
